Its A Great Time To Be A Black American

It's an amazing time to be alive in America . We're in a year of firsts in this presidential election: the first viable woman candidate; the first viable African-American candidate; and, a candidate who is the first front running freedom fighter over 70. The next president of America will be a first.

We won't truly be in an election of firsts, however, until we judge every candidate by where they stand. We won't arrive where we should be until we no longer talk about skin color or gender.

Now that Barack Obama steps to the front of the Democratic field, we need to stop talking about his race, and start talking about his policies and his politics.

Some pundits are calling him the next John F. Kennedy.

THE INNER MOST THOUGHTS OF A BLACK MAN'

First and foremost, let me say welcome back to all previous readers and hello to some new ones.
I grew up in a mostly, but not entirely Black neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York but I didn't experience racism until I was about 5 years old and started going to school, a white school. I was always a well liked smart kid who was really very good at sports, just about all sports and I was given a hard time by my fellow whites because I was much better then they were. . I had a hard time reasoning why someone would automatically respond to me this way when all I did was show up, with the other kids and try my best to play my best.. But that's the way it was. It was oblivous that it was a color difference when it came to whites, and as I grew older I was known as the "chocolate man" . This did not mean I hated whites or disliked them. I just was more conscious of life's affects on our people and advocated for change. I still can't understand how people hate on site, but I know that in my case this was true.
My greatest attributes threaten me in an America which does not want me that way. I am strong, confident, a leader, a father of many children in my community (3 mine, ad a few others fathered by others), I am and I have always been a success in my endeavors, a life a of service, educated at one of the the top universities in America, a veteran of the United States Army, an officer who commanded 200-300 combat soldier, the son of an professional Army man, a business man, but most importantly, I am the LORD's man.

One of the best things that happened in my life time was to see a Black Man who said "Hey, I'm a Black Man become the President of these United States. Yes, Barack Obama's election as the first Black President was a wonderful thing to happen in my life time to me. Not just as a Black Man, but as an American.
Who would have thought!
In conclusion I would say that it should not really surprise anybody that Barack Obama won the presidential election for this was long in coming.
I pray that GOD gives him wisdom to make good and right choices for all Americans, Protect him from all Harm and Peace within his self. After all he is Only a BLACK MAN trying to make it right for us all.

James Brown. "The Godfather of Soul"

James Brown was probably the single most popular black artist among blacks until Michale Jackson came along.
James Brown began performing gospel and R&B at an early age, but his entry into the professional music business ironically came from a prison stint -- while serving a sentence for armed robbery at the age of 16, he met one Bobby Byrd, whose family engineered Brown's release provided he get a job. James soon found himself in Byrd's group, The Avons, who became The Famous Flames in 1955.
James had more hits (116) than any other performer and is second only to Elvis Presley.
James Brown had many nicknames, and he earned each and every one of them: "Soul Brother Number One," "The Hardest Working Man in Show Business," "The Godfather of Soul," "Minister of Super Heavy Funk," and "Mr. Dynamite." And still others referred to him affectionately as "that crazy man jumping around and screaming on stage." According to family legend, James Brown "was born dead," or a stillborn, only to be resuscitated by his aunt. As he came back to life, James let out a loud shriek reminiscent to the scream that he would later make famous as a soul icon. Brown had a tough childhood, growing up in utter poverty in Georgia, where his aunt, a brothel owner, raised him. Incarcerated by the age of sixteen, Brown overcame great adversity to gain fame and fortune. According to Brown himself he is the King of the Apollo theater.
Many think that it was Michael Jackson that held that title, but in actuality it was James Brown. Harlem's Apollo Theater held a tribute to Michael Jackson that held more people than it ever did before in the Theater's history.

There is absolutely no question that we need health care reform and we need it now.
This is what Obama campaigned on and what the American people voted for. Michael Steele needs to cancel his own health insurance and stand in the shoes of those who are paying a bloody fortune (if they can afford it at all) for the luxury of health insurance. If you are not on the side of the people who want, and need, lower health insurance premiums than you are not for capitalism at its best. Walk the walk in the people's shoes , Mr. Steele. You are nothing but a Uncle Tom and a stooge for people like Rush Limburger.
Let's face it, there is more support for Barack Obama's health care bill than George W Bush had for invading Iraq!
Just as with the Iraqi War and terrorism, the GOP is playing on people's fears about health care.

And as for the Wall Street Fat Cats, they have screwed Obama backwards, forwards and sideways -which is what they have been doing to the rest of us for years. So, Mr. President - just whack them that is all they get-being whacked and losing money. Anything else is weakness in their eyes.
Let's talk a bit about Massachusetts. Wasn't it just those illiterate racist good old boy white males who spread all those lies about Obama and Martha Coakley that put Brown over the top? I think they played a big part in that. And face it, Coakley was a lousy candidate to begin with, she was an absolutely horrible candidate who stuck her foot in her mouth every time she opened it.. Obama's going to Mass. had nothing to do with her failure. . I didn't see George W. Bush and his great achievements going there to help out Scott Brown, did you?
The thought that it was all about Obama, is just wishful thinking on the Republican's part. That simply was not the case.
All I can tell you is to try composing a list of George Bush's achievements and see where it gets you.

Say what you will for the GOP, but those guys (and they are, mostly, guys and mostly white) know how to go for the freakin' jugular. What I despise about them is that it is usually the carotid of the poor, of minorities, of women, of anyone more interested in making the world a better place instead of merely making more money.

Nevertheless, I wish the Dems could borrow a bit of that ruthlessness and put it to good use.

So as I said, to you Republicans, your true red, WHITE, and blue colors are showing.

Are Jewish people white?

Are Jewish people Caucasian, Eurasian or another ethnic race ?
When I lived in Detroit, and they had a "people of color festival" here which included Jewish dancers. Why would they consider themselves white if they were part of this "people of color" festival?
Besides, there is that Youtube video of the Jew standing next to Nelson Mandela in South Africa singing songs in front of a grave. The lyrics to the "liberation" song make mention of killing whites. I think a real determination can be made from this.

If you say that "Jewish is a religion," then how can you explain the DNA studies linking Jews to one-another? Besides, it doesn't take a DNA study to realize that certain physical traits are more commonly found on Jews than whites. ie. large noses, curly dark hair, olive skin.
I am not trying to rattle anyone's cages or trying to cause trouble i have a little interest in anthropology

There are plenty of white people who really do not understand race

What is incredibly lacking is someone to explain to white people, in a way they understand, that the actions were racist.
There are plenty of white people who really do not understand race, they do stupid things, get in trouble, and they do not learn the real reason why. What happens is they blame the "PC" police and become more entrenched in their ignorance.
Just like any child, punishment without teaching will only breed resentment.

Don't blame Obama for the security foul up

The security breach has caused hand-wringing inside the White House, bewilderment among Tuesday night's guests -- and late on Friday, prompted an apology from the Secret Service.
It has yet to be confirmed but that isn't the problem. The problem is that this couple was able to go to a State Dinner WITHOUT INVITATION. They should be prosecuted. Maybe if the story is true about being friends, they won't be so interesting to hear them in an interview, for which they are demanding about $500,000 or $600,000. Kick them to the curb.
I'm sure people will blame Obama for this gaffe but Obama isn't the one running the Secret Service. Obama doesn't pick who will protect a president and who won't. Read "In the President's Secret Service." The Secret Service. are totally to blame for this breach.
